Company profile and approach Hotwire Films specialises in documentaries, video diaries, behind-the-scenes and promotional films and video for the architecture and construction industries, manufacturing, the arts and events. We use the language of cinema to tell stories about buildings, environments, processes and people. We employ a variety of cinematic techniques: from a natural, observational style filmed by a small multi-skilled crew using minimal equipment, putting character and process centre stage; to high-end commercial shooting using prime lenses, lighting rigs, tracks and steadicam to emphasise glamour, quality and luxury. Curating techniques bespoke to the unique nature of each project, we give every film its own individual flavour. From the lenses we use, to the flow and rhythm of the edit, to the music, right down to the colours and font of the titles - we take great care with the details, because it is from the details that the effect of the whole is created.
Responsibility Hotwire Films is a responsible company. We participate in a car club scheme and use low-energy computer equipment. Our health and safety policies are compliant with current UK HSE standards and are regularly reviewed. All our equipment is PAT tested and our crews are briefed in safe and responsible working practices.
Privacy Many of our clients in the architecture and construction sectors are private individuals who do not wish their videos to be viewed by the public. We have a privacy policy and procedures in place to protect private clients, such as the use of password-protected web pages to host online Video Diaries. |
